Questão de Gosto is a traditional Brazilian samba / pagode band playing roots samba. The name Questão de Gosto translated in English means ‘a matter of taste’. Their music is based on famous samba artists in Brazil namely Fundo de Quintal, Zeca Pagodinho, Jorge Aragão, Grupo Sensação and many more.
Questão de Gosto was originally formed in 1996 in London by João Luiz. During the band’s lifetime there have been a number of changes in the line-up, but the current band members can be seen on this site. The band have played at various locations in London including Havana, Salsa, Bar Madrid, Bar Loca and 40 Degrees Restaurant. Outside London they have participated in many world music festivals. They have also performed at various private parties and charity events.
